Ohm's Law for a Circuit Component
The current passing through a section of a circuit is proportional to the voltage across the ends of that section and inversely proportional to the resistance of the section:
$$I=\frac{U}{R}$$
where,
I— current passing through the circuit component in amperes (A);
U— voltage in volts (V);
R— resistance of the circuit section in ohms (Ω).
